In this post, I’m going to demonstrate how to download & install SOLIDWORKS Premium completely FREE of cost for a lifetime be it any version you want like 2019, 2021 or even 2022. But mind well, these will be cracked files, so the installed software can’t be used legally for official work. Though you can use for them for personal projects, educational self-learning & skill development. You can also be assured that these files are safe to use and free from any form of viruses since I use them on a daily basis myself.

Step 1: - Downloading the Setup & Checking compatibility

For the first step to download the installation file for latest version of Solidworks available, you can either just click on the below link, Skip Ad and the download will start.

Alternatively, you can open your browser, go to GetintoPC.com and search SOLIDWORKS. You can also add the year of the version you want like 2019, 2018, etc. In our case we’re just going to download the latest version 2022. Just open the required page from search results, check the system requirements and match them with your device and you should be good to go.

Though be cautious about two things, one being that if you work in a multi-user environment then you must download the same version of SOLIDWORKS as your fellow colleagues. Otherwise, you would have several issues in opening the files of future version or sharing them. Second thing you need to be aware is though it states 16 gigs of hard disk requirement, you would be needing 3.5 to 4 times this space that is approximately 56 to 64 GB. If you have separate SSD & HDD then 18 to 32 GB on SSD and 32 GB on HDD, depending on packages you install.

After we’re done with the compatibility check, head straight to the “Download 64-bit x64” button and you’ll be redirected to a page where your download will automatically start. If a window pops up asking for download permission check the file name & size and start the download. I would suggest it’s best if you use a download manager to boost the download speed since it can take a couple of hours to download a file as large as this without one. Since, I have already downloaded this file, I won’t be downloading it again. And with this, we are done with this step as well.

Step 2: - Extraction & File Setup

After the download is finished, extract the downloaded file in a folder by the same name. If a window pops up asking for Password, just enter 123 and press “OK”, your file will be extracted in some time. I have already extracted it. Just open the created folder and again you will find a similar folder, open it. You will see a .iso file for SOLIDWORKS installation. Now here’s where it gets tricky.

A major number of people will just mount it using ISO file managers or default windows options but it can result in errors during installation in low-end devices which struggle to manage virtually mounted Setup files. So, a sure-fire way to install it without any errors is to extract this ISO file to main partition outside with same folder name, preferably SSD partition if you use both HDD & SSD.

Step 3: - Turning off Antivirus & Windows Security temporarily

After this step, just open the Solidsquad folder in the previously extracted main folder. Now before you do anything here, make sure to temporarily turn-off your antivirus during installation since some may automatically delete the contents due to a fake virus reading caused by unsigned files. All files need to be signed for use by creator but it costs money so these are unsigned and may be detected as virus by some software. You have to also check in windows security to turn off the all the “virus & threat protection options” (Remember to turn ON all antivirus again after successful installation). After this you are good to go, so just extract the solidsquad file to a separate folder like this.

Step 4: - Turning ON Windows Features

Now before we begin installation, we need to enable some windows features for proper operation of SOLIDWORKS. Go to Search icon, and type features, select “turn windows features ON or OFF” option. A window should pop-up like this, then click on the plus icon beside “.NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 & 3.0)” and check these 3 boxes and click OK. Windows will search your device for required files to turn on these features and prompt you to download them if they aren’t available by showing you a window like this. Select “Let Windows Update download the required files for you” and download will start. The files will be downloaded and changes will be applied in some time. 

After that a window should pop up claiming that “Windows completed the requested changes”. In some cases, it may also ask to reboot the device, then just restart your device and get it done with (after restart, do check for antiviruses to be turned OFF).

Step 5: - Windows Registry Merge & Starting Flexnet Server

Now go to Solidsquad folder you extracted and run “sw2022_netwrok_serials_licensing.reg”, a window will popup asking if you want to continue, click “Yes”. A window with a message of successful addition of registry values should appear. Next you have to copy the folder “Solidworks_Flexnet_Server” to your windows installation partition (C drive generally). Open this folder and run “server_install.bat” as administrator.

Command Prompt window will open and after some time show message “The Solidworks Flexnet Service was started successfully. Press any key to Continue……..”. Just press “Enter” on keyboard and the window will close. With this we have completed the basic setup needed for cracking the SOLIDWORKS.

Step 6: - Turning OFF Internet & Installing Packages

Before we move to next step, make sure you have disconnected any form of internet & wi-fi from your device to ensure that your cracked keys from registry don’t fail. For the next step, we are going to go back the folder you extracted from the ISO file. Open the folder, go all the way to the bottom to find “setup.exe” with Solidworks logo. Right-click on it and run it as administrator. If a new window appears again asking for administrative permissions, just press “Yes”. 

Soon, the Solidworks Installation manager will start & load completely and ask you the type of installation you want. Here, since we have all the installation files and want to crack it, select “Install on this computer”, then click “Next”. In the next window, it will show you several serial numbers for product activation already filled, except for few. Don’t untick anything here. These are just registry key data serial numbers, they don’t necessarily mean that program is also going to be installed. Just leave them all ticked, so in future if you want, you can add other features as per your requirement without much effort. Just click “Next”, again and soon it will try to connect to internet for verifying the serial numbers, that’s why I told you to turn off any from of Internet on your device. Soon, a new window will popup stating that “Solidworks Installation Manager couldn’t connect to the Solidworks Server". Click “CANCEL” here and the Installation manger will update your Installation method to offline one.

Step 7: - Selection of Packages, turning off background downloader & Completing Installation

After some time, Installation manger will soon show a new screen of “Summary” page. Here, you can select the products you want to install by clicking on respective “Change” buttons. First, you have to change the Products, deselect all except Solidworks if you only need that. But you can select all the products you want as per your requirement. If the product you want to install doesn’t appear in this list, just click on “Select different packages or products”. Also, note that only the products whose serial numbers were selected in the previous step can be installed successfully. Once done, click on “Back to summary”. Now change the download options and untick the “Use background downloader for future service packs”, because it will detect the cracked license. Again, click on “Back to Summary”.

You can also change the location of installation & Toolbox, but I would suggest you let them as they are for smoother working in Solidworks. Also mind well, that if your windows is not running on your SSD partition in case you have hybrid storage. Set location of both Solidworks & Toolbox in SSD.  Tick the box of “I agree to the terms of the Solidworks”, then press “Install Now”. 

A new window should popup asking for port@server, just enter 25734@localhost and click “OK”. Your Solidworks installation will start. Depending on the number of products selected and your device capabilities, it can take anywhere between several minutes to a couple of hours. After the installation is completed, on the final window, untick the box of “Show me what’s new in Solidworks” and select “No, thank you” for joining Soldiworks Customer Experience Improvement program, then click on “Finish”.

Step 8: - Replacing default files with cracked ones

Now if you installed Solidworks to default location, then go back to the extracted Solidsquad Folder, and copy the “Program files” & “Program Files (x86)” Folder to your C drive. It will ask to replace or skip similar files, select “replace the files in this destination”, if it asks for administrative access, tick “Do this for all current items”, and click “confirm”. If you had installed Solidworks in other location, only copy the files inside the “Program files” & “Program Files (x86)” Folder and replace the files in installation location with these cracked ones similarly.

Step 9: - Enabling SolidSquad Loader by Registry & Reboot

After the copying is completed, go back to the extracted Solidsqaud folder and double-click on “SolidSQUADLoaderEnabler.reg” and merge the registry values. Click “Yes” in the window asking for confirmation and it will show that registry values were successfully added. Now, just restart/rebot your device.

Step 10: - Setting up SolidNetwork License Manager, Applying changes & Extra instructions

After the device has rebooted, Open Solidworks, Accept the License agreement, click on the “Help” icon at top right corner, select the SolidNetwork License manager and click “Yes” if it asks for administrative permission. Now, click on the “License Order” tab and select all the products with premium name and move them up one by one. Just make sure to keep this “Soldiworks Premium with Simulation Professional” is just below all the premium products, click on “Apply”, then press “Ok” and you are done.

Moreover, if you had previously installed any older version of solidworks, do read the readme file in Solidsquad folder thoroughly.

Step 11: - Restart/Resume your Antivirus & Windows Security
